Image for poster pre edit

This is the original image of a customer using my newspaper, however as i do not have a real issue of a paper, i have had to have him holding a copy of the 'independent'. I plan to edit the photo to have my newspaper name, the information on the front is not important. I also intend to edit the photo so it blends from black and white to regular, to follow the timeline feel.

2nd poster almost finished

I have now added the colour i spoke about in the earlier post. The pastel colours however may need to be made brighter so it is easier to read from a long distance. I also added the text at the bottom as more information and the web address to really promote the paper and all its medias.

2nd poster - new draft

This is less modern draft, still unfinished but i feel it relates to the meaning of the poster more. The crumpled paper with the changed hue/saturation to make it seem old, is like a timeline almost. Implying the words of the text through a simple image, i feel it is very effective. I plan on changing the colour of the text to bright colours past the fade of the paper to give the poster more of a visual timline effect as i mentioned earlier
This is the second draft, The image inside the news text is an image of different newspapers rolled up, the initial idea was to use this idea for all parts of the text e.g people behind the 'YOU' text. However i do not beleive this represents the age group an ultra local paper is aiming at and would have to much going on for the true meaning of the poster to come across.

2nd Poster - draft

Here is the first draft of my new poster design, changing from photoshop to illustrater as it is easier and better for developing text, which after closer look at 'The Guardians' posters is more important. As it reflects what is more important in the newspaper itself. The stories and not the images.
